The Vicar of Dibley – Location
This weeks post has 3 photos you might recognise – it’s the location used in the filming of the hit BBC show, “The Vicar of Dibley”.
The location is in the middle of nowhere, only for SatNav we would never had found the right roads to take, some only the sixth of one car. It is located about 30 minutes drive south of Oxford. The town in very small, has 1 pub and some residential houses which were all decorated with bunting for the Jubilee celebrations which were taking place. The church is as per the Vicar of Dibley TV show and the shots below are an indication of what this lovely town is like to walk around.
The weather was anything but perfect, and I just had a few standard lenses so couldn’t try anything too technical on the shots. It is certainly a place I would come back to as the village has an equestrian centre, I wanted to try the pub grub, and also there are many walks in the area including one up to a Windmill, which you can see in one of the shots above.
