I didn’t take many photos in recent weeks, again the weather wasn’t great, and I just didn’t get time to take the camera out with me as much as I would have liked … seems to be a common complaint but something I hope to work on in the coming weeks as I shoot in Canada. Spots like Totonto, Niagara Falls, Montreal and Quebec should give me some good shots to work on. With the addition of my new 24-105 L lens those shots should be that bit better than I have been used to with my trusty Tamron 10-24.
Anyway, I had the camera in Kilkenny and decided to take a trip over to the Castle grounds around 8pm. Sun was low but I just popped off a few shots and the Kilkenny Castle photo you see below was the result. A bit of photoshopping was done as there was way too much shadow in the foreground on the fountain. But It’s not bad for a “quick camera out of bag, snap, camera back in bag” job.
I still haven’t had a good chance to use by new filters but hopefully the next few weeks will fix that.
