On Sunday September 1st, Tramore saw a spectacle which I had not seen in Ireland before, Dog Surfing…. Yes, surfing for Dogs.
Some of the dogs didn’t seem to like the idea and once on the surf boards decided to abandon ship and swim to shore, while others took to it like a duck dog to water. Crowds had come to Tramore for this well advertising dog surfing event and cheered as each dog made their way to shore on the surfboards – there was even a-paws (applause) from the crowd for these 4 legged surfers. My favourite was Ozkar the Hungarian Vizsla with the yellow life-preserver who really loved the whole idea of surfing. (Check out Ozkar’s Facebook page here>)
